An
alpine valley 20 Km long, situated in Trentino which includes
some of most beautiful and well-known peaks of the Dolomites:
Catinaccio, Sassolungo, the Sella group. Apart from the mountain
tops of the Dolomites, the countryside is characterized by
the river Avisio which runs through the valley anf the conifer
woods. The town in the valley are locates at the height of
between 1.200 and 1.400 metres making Moena, Soraga, Vigo
di Fassa, Pozza di Fassa, Mazzin, Campitello and Canazei true
paradises for both summer and winter holidays. The hospitality
which is so common amongst mountain people is even more keenly
felt in this area, so much so that for every inhabitant of
the Fassa Valley there is accommodation for 5 visitors. Even
the cuisine, which is simple and consists of "frugal"
ingredients, provides a source of great satisfaction and is
in fact celebrated annually during the "week of Ladin
cuisine".
